Our whole family had a great time in this fantastically well equipped house. We had everything we needed for our stay including all condiments, foil, cling film etc. Even the bbq was set up for us. Everything was beautifully clean. We plan to return.

Just returned from a few days in Portballintrae with Port Tara as our base (6 adults, 1 toddler and 2 golden retrievers - with plenty of room to spare). The outside space was safe and secure to allow the dogs to let off some steam and inside the house the attention to detail, comfort and cleanliness is second to none. Can’t recommend the house or hosts highly enough - just perfect.

A great weekend staying in Portballintrae with friends. The kitchen was the best equipped I have stayed in. Everything was clean and great amount of bathrooms. A less than 5 minute walk to the beach makes it a great location. The keyboard door entry was handy so there was no need to worry about who had the keys. Will hopefully have another occasion to stay, would definitely return

We had an absolute fantastic stay. Keith and tara were fantastic hosts. We can’t wait to go back. Would highly recommend.
The house is so well equipped. Every little detail was thought off. My family and I had a fantastic stay. Keith was so accommodating and couldn’t have done more for us. The house was absolutely beautiful, the photographs don’t do it justice. We loved everything.

This is our 2nd time staying at Port Tara and yet again it was perfect for our family get together of 4 couples for the weekend. Everything was perfect and very comfortable, with all the facilities that anyone would require.

Port Tara was ideal for our recent family break. 7 adults and 5 kids. Loads of space ,great attention to detail. Quality bedding ,kitchen had everything one needs for a large group. Loads of toilets and showers plus a wet room. Very clean,good communication from Keith. We would highly recommend as a great place to stay.

A fantastic house in an amazing location. So close to everything. The house is well equipped with everything you need. We were a group aged from 8 to 83 and the property was ideal for all of us. Plenty of space. Keith is a fabulous host. Answering all our questions ahead of our arrival and checked in with us during our stay.
I would highly recommend this property.

Great accommodation - very comfortable, fantastic location for exploring the North coast. Keith and Tara were great hosts - plenty of info sent beforehand so we knew what to expect, and they kept in touch to make sure everything was ok. Keypad for entering house was very easy to use. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay!

A great place for a large group like ours. The little things had been thought of like phone chargers everywhere, enough laundry pods, chlidren's games etc. Great position just about 200m from the sea. Loads of showers, great lounge for sitting together.

The accommodation had everything we needed and more. Great for a large family gathering. Clean and bright. We had a six week, a six month, 3 year and 6year old so space and cleanliness were important. Hosts were helpful and replied promptly. Location is perfect. Port Tara house was more than expected. The home was very clean and comfortable with everything you needed. Perfectly accommodated our three generations of family. The location couldn’t be better for day tripping the entire north coast while also being so convenient to lovely town of Bushmills. Keith was a pleasure to deal with and very accommodating. Definitely considering going back!

Great location, pleasant people, beautiful! My husband (woah weird to say) and I booked this place for our family and friends to stay with us for a small destination wedding. The layout was perfect for this particular event as the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the property providing plenty of privacy while also allowing you to be with your loved ones. Keith was attentive with any questions we had and was absolutely pleasant to work with. Highly recommend!

My friend booked Port Tara for a group of us celebrating a birthday. It is in an excellent location with lots of things to do in the area, Carrick a-rede bridge, Bushmills distillery and Giants Causeway all within a 10 min drive. The property is gorgeous and has absolutely everything you need and more besides. We loved staying here and it made the occasion very special.

We spend the first April weekend at Port Tara with 8 adults and 4 kids. Everyone was absolutely blown away by the house. The space is just so perfect for the kids to run around, have their own play room, the garden is enclosed, etc. The beaches are so close it was perfect for them to let off some steam and the sea air had them all asleep so the adults could hang in the cosy living room in the evening. Everything is so beautiful yet practical and really well maintained. The fridge and storage spaces for food is huge cause we all brought something. The kitchen has literally everything you could need and even kids' supplies. The rooms were the perfect set up and definitely enough bath rooms. Communication with Keith didn't leave us with any questions and I knew I could just text if anything came up. Thank you!

Myself and a group of university friends visited Port Tara for a reunion weekend. The house
was great for our party - lots of space and bathrooms! The house was extremely clean and
well maintained throughout. The area is great, with two nearby bars/restaurants and Bushmills village only a 15 min walk away too. Lots of other things to do in the area. Being able to charge my electric vehicle overnight was a bonus. Finally, Keith had the freezer stocked with ice and a

Port Tara was perfect for our family weekend away. It had space outside for the dogs to run around and it was so comfortable and clean. There were plenty of parking space for cars and lots of lovely restaurants and cafes located nearby. Keith even left us a bottle of Prosecco to help us celebrate my parents 60th! Port Tara was a fabulous holiday home, myself and my family had an amazing time. The kids had a ball, the house was immaculate and anything we needed was there for us. It is close to Portrush town centre where we spent most of our time and enjoyed a lovely meal in Ramore on our last night. Well worth it and a fantastic start to the new year. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when staying in Portrush.

Just back from staying at this amazing property. We were a party of ten adults three children and two well behaved dogs. The first thing to see were lovely Christmas trees . The property is absolutely immaculate, spacious with lots of special touches, good quality bedding, towels and everything you could think of that’s needed in the kitchen. Right down to a great coffee machine. The walk in showers were amazing. Even though we were a big party, there was still plenty of space for all of us. And another nice touch, was a cold bottle of bubbly. Good way to start the weekend! Keith and Tara also were fantastic hosts checking in was so easy, with good communication the whole time, making sure we were all comfortable and happy. If you are ever considering a weekend break and want something with a bit of class, I would highly recommend this place. Thank you Keith and Tara.

Just home after spending a couple of wonderful days and nights for a family get together in Port Tara.
Everyone (7 of us) found that Port Tara was absolutely beautiful with the owner having thought of everything to make his guests completely happy, providing every facility you could think of, exceptionally finished.
The large bungalow is extremely well designed for all sorts and sizes of families and/or multiple families coming together under one roof. I highly recommend staying in Port Tara, no matter what time of year.

PortTara was a real jewel in the search for the right house for our family get together-especially the standard which is exactly how it looks in all the pictures!
The house met all our needs, the layout all on one level worked for kids and a family member with mobility issues.
The kids (& adults) loved the sensor lights in the corridors/bathrooms!
We stayed mid October and the house was cosy & we look forward to coming back maybe in some milder weather, although we had a lovely walk along salmon rock/runkerry beach which worked up an appetite at Bayview hotel which is a short walk way!
Keith was so helpful in all the communications for the booking process & throughout/after & we’re looking forward to a return stay :)

Excellent house, very spacious but also cosy. Perfect location for exploring portballintrae. Great location & house for kids & dogs. Kitchen well equipped, appreciated charcoal etc being left. Enclosed back garden and very spacious driveway for all the guests (6 cars). Beds very comfortable and amazing showers. Will book again.

We had a fantastic family reunion. Keith and Tara's home is beautiful, spacious, ideal location and every detail well thought out. The kitchen was well equipped and enough bathrooms with hot water to cater for larger numbers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately book again in the future

We have just had the most wonderful holiday in Port Tara. The property was more than we expected. 5 great bedrooms, 2 en-suite. The master bedroom being at the front of the property offered a lot of privacy , space and a very luxurious en-suite. With 2 sitting rooms it is ideal if children wish to watch tV / play allowing adults to have their own space. Ample outside seating for entertaining around the barbecue. The property is finished to a very high standard with charging cables in rooms , automatic lighting and a touch point entry system . The property has plenty of off street parking for several cars. The location is literally 2 minutes to the sea, a great hotel for food and sundowners. The host Keith did a wonderful job in pre arrival communication, advising us of security entry system , early access if needed and leaving a bottle of bubbles for our arrival. I would highly recommend Port Tara it’s gorgeous property perfectly located to explore the NW coast . We hope to return with my family and friends again. Hester, London

We are just home from a long weekend in this fantastic property for a family get together. I would say it is probably one of the best hidden gems we have discovered. The house is super spacious, immaculately clean and has literally everything you could ever imagine to make your stay comfortable and feel at home. The bedrooms, bathrooms are just perfect and 5 star in my opinion. The rear garden is also very large with tables and a great BBQ complete with charcoal, gas torch to light and all the cooking utensils.
The main living room just feels like you are home, super large TV with Netflix guest accounts etc. There are just so many little touches that makes this one of the best. If you manage to get this property booked it will definitely not disappoint.
We would all love to be staying again.

I cannot rate this holiday rental highly enough. Possibly the best I have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The attention to detail made it an absolute pleasure to stay in. The linen was luxurious and the showers were fabulous. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped. Keith’s place was absolutely what we needed for a few days holiday with some dear friends. Bags of space, dog friendly, and with so many thoughtful little touches, particularly for the technically minded (USB chargers are practically everywhere you’d want, plus a few places that you wouldn’t think of at first but make total sense). The snug was brilliant for giving the kids a space to chill out while the adults chilled out in the main living room. Similarly the separate dining room meant that the kids could eat separately from the adults if they wanted to. The kitchen was the best equipped I’ve ever encountered in a holiday cottage, and the washing machine and tumble dryer were a godsend. All in all it was exactly what we needed and in a great location.

Can only echo what other guests have said. First thing that strikes you is the feeling of space and quality of finish. Then you notice the attention to detail and effort that the owners have gone to in order to turn this into a luxurious beach house. So well equipped throughout and must have been renovated recently as everything was fresh and new. Not the usual holiday home basic furnishings/decor. Small things like connections for games console for kids, wide screen TV (with Netflix etc.), Bluetooth speakers, sensor lights, power showers, BBQ etc etc all gave the feel that you were staying in someone else’s home for the weekend. Ample parking at front and large landscaped patio to rear (enclosed and private) which is perfect for kids, pets, and relaxing outside. Just a fantastic property and in a perfect location. Will be hard to book this place once the word gets out! Hosts also very attentive before and during our stay. Thanks again Keith and Tara.

Had a fabulous recent stay at Port Tara. Wow what a place. The owners have gone to such a huge effort to ensure that guests have absolutely everything they need. We were blown away with the luxurious interior, fantastic space which for three families all under one roof worked so well as we didn’t feel on top of each other. The rooms are immaculate, fresh and airy, very comfortable beds and even lovely fluffy towels. The bathrooms are lovely and modern with fabulous lighting. We were very fortunate to have amazing weather and were lucky to be able to sit outside in the large outdoor space at the back of the house and enjoy the sun. This is a brilliant place to stay within walking distance to the Bayview hotel and the harbour area.

We had a fabulous weekend stay at Port Tara with family and friends. This is a beautifully appointed holiday home, where it is clear that the owners have paid attention to detail from the super comfortable beds, to the luxurious bathrooms and ambient lighting throughout. The property is spacious with multiple reception and dining areas allowing larger groups scope to relax and unwind.
Situated close to the local hotel, harbour and beaches it is the ideal location to base yourself for a family break , or to see the many beautiful attractions of the spectacular North Coast.
I have no hesitation in recommending this property and we will definitely be back to stay again.
